Terms of Service

These terms cover your account and your use of the site you use to buy and manage a SPLAT licence. The terms of the licence itself, what you are allowed to do with the software you install, live in the End User Licence Agreement; the two documents work together and should be read together.

Your account

Creating an account requires a working email address. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials to yourself and for anything done through your account. Tell us right away if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission, through the contact page.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the account, purchase or licensing system to do any of the following: attempt to circumvent the activation or machine limit mechanism described in the End User Licence Agreement; share, resell or redistribute a licence key outside the terms of that agreement; probe, scan or attack the servers behind this site; or use the account system to impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone. Violating this section is grounds for suspending or revoking your account and licence.

Provided as is

SPLAT, and the website and services around it, are provided on an as is and as available basis. We do not warrant that the software will be free of defects, that it will meet every requirement you have for it, or that it will run without interruption on every combination of hardware and driver it might encounter. Nothing in this section is meant to remove any protection that applies to you by law and cannot lawfully be waived.

Availability

We aim to keep the account, licensing and download systems available, but do not guarantee they will be up at every moment. Planned maintenance, and things outside our control, can interrupt them. SPLAT itself runs locally once installed and activated, so a short interruption to these online systems does not stop the software from running on a machine that is already activated.

Changes to the service

We may change, add to, or discontinue parts of the account, website or licensing system over time, and we may update these terms as the product changes. Where a change materially affects your rights we will update the date at the top of this page; continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION], without regard to its conflict of law principles, and any dispute arising from them is subject to the courts of that jurisdiction.
